Two years ago, my family went on an epic trip out west. You can read about that here.
I asked my father last year if there was anything he’d wanted to do but hadn’t. He didn’t hesitate. “Visit the place of my forefathers in Germany.” I started making plans. Before you know it, we had a four-week trip itinerary for Germany, Switzerland, France, and Italy with my parents, my family of 9, and my mother-in-law all saying goodbyes and farewells.
This trip was just as epic as the first, and in like manner, I’m sharing the pics and journal. In some future posts, I’ll share some memories and insights.
