Three months is a long time. I’ve not had the energy to write even though my list of topics has continued to snowball. I want to get back in the saddle and write. What caused my energy draw? Mostly, a difficult legal dispute with someone I thought was my friend. I dealt with feelings of betrayal, anger, dejection, hurt, etc. Then, we had a store manager leave with little notice, take some of his team with him, and we dealt with several hidden landmines as we rebuilt that shop. Then, we learned of the death of Aaron Stokes (Shop Fix Academy) and the rollercoaster of emotions and challenges from that. All of this caused me to reassess my personal financial picture and I realized we were exposed to challenges and loss, causing me to start on a cash-is-king crusade. I could go on, but suffice it to say that Q1 of 2026 will be looked back on as a pivotal period in my life. I thank God for Q1 of 2026.
